Dr. Jason Ju, BHSc, D.Ch - Podiatrist/Owner
Dr. Ju is a licensed podiatrist who has been practicing since 2011. He graduated from The Michener Institute in Toronto, and has a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from The University of Western Ontario. He began his career at Toronto General Hospital in the Diabetic Wound/Ulcer Clinic and has extensive knowledge in managing diabetic foot complications.
Dr. Ju has a special interest in podiatric biomechanics and addressing his patient's foot pain. He is passionate about educating his patients and staying up-to-date with the most recent evidence-based practice and has extensive knowledge and expertise in manual therapy techniques, custom orthotics, and diabetic wound care.
He maintains professional associations and memberships with the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine, Canadian Podiatric Medical Association, the Nova Scotia Podiatry Association and the Nova Scotia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
When Jason is out of the office, he is passionate about playing and watching a variety of sports; especially basketball, and spending lots of time at the skating rink with his two children.
Estelle is originally from the tropical island of Mauritius. She completed BSC (Hons) in Podiatry at the University of Southampton,UK. She then worked for the National Health Service on the Isle of Wight for almost 3 years practising the various scopes of Podiatry.
Whilst working she completed her post graduate certification focusing on the treatment of Diabetes and wound care. When not at work, she spends time at the gym, outdoors, and travelling.
Dr. Ian Collin McQuistan, D.Ch. BSc Pod Med - Podiatrist
Dr. McQuistan graduated from the Michener Institute in Toronto and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Podiatric Medicine from Leeds University in the United Kingdom. He began his career in Pedorthics, specializing in custom footwear, foot orthotics, and orthopedic bracing, before advancing his training in podiatric medicine. His clinical expertise includes bracing and orthopedic modifications to footwear.
Dr. McQuistan has served the profession in leadership roles as Vice President of the Ontario College of Chiropodists and President of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists. He has been a featured speaker at Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine conferences and has mentored students and new graduates entering the profession.
He maintains professional associations and memberships with the Ontario Society of Chiropodists, the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine, the Nova Scotia Podiatry Association and the Nova Scotia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Since 2007, Dr. McQuistan has practiced alongside his wife, Alicia, before relocating to Nova Scotia. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys time with his three children and is an avid fisherman.
Dr. Alicia McQuistan, D.Pod.M. - Podiatrist
Dr. McQuistan earned her Post Graduate Diploma in Podiatric Medicine from the Michener Institute of Health Sciences. Since 2010, she has served as Owner and Operations Director of McQuistan Chiropody. She enjoys all aspects of clinical practice, with a particular focus on soft tissue surgery.
Dedicated to advancing her profession, Dr. McQuistan has held leadership roles as Vice President and Board Member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine, and she is an active member of the Ontario Society of Chiropodists. She has contributed as a conference speaker, board exam proctor and evaluator, and clinical mentor for chiropody interns at the Michener Institute.
She maintains professional associations and memberships with the Ontario Society of Chiropodists, the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine, the Nova Scotia Podiatry Association and the Nova Scotia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Complementing her clinical expertise with business leadership, Dr. McQuistan is currently completing her Executive MBA while expanding her professional portfolio. After many years at their busy Hamilton, Ontario, practice alongside her husband, she relocated with her family to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys crocheting and has an extensive collection of yarn and projects.
